Mentor Duluth BBQ

On Thursday I met Miss M and her family (her mom & brother) at Bayfront Festival Park for the annual Mentor Duluth BBQ. There was food, games, activites, silliness, it was a good time.

I also met Miss M's Dad for the first time (he came later). He was not at all what I expected and I will be honest, I'm pleasantly surprised. I think he's had some rough times (to say the least) but it really seems like he has a great rapport with his kids and is trying to stabilize his life.

Let's see...we played with a parachute, learned how to cast a fishing pole, spun the "sucker" wheel (basically a wheel where you get a sucker), did the book/cookie walk a few times, played catch with the football, Miss M got a monkey tattoo on her arm and we did a lot of cartwheels and general running around.

It was a hot & beautiful summery day and fun was had by all.
