Yahtzee!
Tonight Miss M & I just did some pretty mellow hanging out. We worked our knitting projects from last week. We chatted away - talked about school starting in a couple days, talked about different craft projects, a little bit about my upcoming wedding and everything in between.
She was losing interest so we changed it up. We played a game of Yahtzee. I found out that she needs more help with her numbers than with reading so I think this is a good game for her. She did really well with adding up double numbers and we worked hard on forming the numbers the right way (the 6 tends to want to go backwards) and on getting those numbers in the little boxes on the score card.
The evening was relatively short - just a couple hours. I took her home and wished her a happy first day at school!
Next up: a family musical at the children's theater here in town - I htink - I have to try to remember what the heck weekend it's on!
